The LeadTime Experience

LeadTime includes three main components. There is formal study time, a variety of serving experiences and the opportunity to belong in community with others.

Study

LeadTime offers a valuable combination of Biblical instruction and practical ministry training, with morning classes and afternoon ministry assignments. This is an experiential approach to learning. You will learn it, do it, and then process the experience together. LeadTime classes are taught by our seasoned staff and ministry leaders from the community.

Serve

The LeadTime Experience

At LeadTime, we put our faith in action everyday. Through partnerships with other programs at Doulos Ministries (LeadTime's parent organization) you have the opportunity to work one on one with high-risk youth at Sheltwood, a residential care facility. You can also be involved with The Sky's The Limit, an urban ministry to children and families.

Along with these opportunities, you can participate in mission trips to places as close as New Orleans and Mexico or as far away as Morocco and Turkey. You'll also have the opportunity to serve with local churches, para-church and non-profit human service organizations.

Belong

The LeadTime Experience

Each LeadTime participant is partnered with an older mentor, either on staff or in the community, who helps you synthesize your LeadTime experience and apply life lessons. With at least ten LeadTime students in each location, classes form a unique sense of community. You live, work, play and minister in close proximity during the year with one another, opening the door for a depth of relationship unusual in our world today - a true "iron sharpening iron" experience.

LeadTime values faith, friendship and FUN! Snowboarding, skiing, hiking, camping, rock climbing, weekend outings, spiritual retreats and even paint ball help your LeadTime class become a community and build memories."
