"LeadTime laid a foundation of character that has been built on for the last twenty years."
-Sean R. Sears, LeadTime graduate 1987 now serving as Director of Heartland Assist - a ministry of Heartland Community Church
There are two different LeadTime locations in the United States.
Denver
Located nine miles north of Denver and 13 miles southeast of Boulder, this LeadTime program is housed on 40 acres featuring a spacious view of the Rocky Mountains. The facility includes housing for approximately 20-25 staff and LeadTime students, along with room for 36 teenagers involved with the Shelterwood program. Also located on the property is a dining hall with a seating capacity of 250, classrooms, laundry and administrative offices. Recreation facilities include tennis courts, basketball courts, regulation-size sand volleyball court, recreation/work-out room, soccer field, baseball diamond, football field, ropes course, rappelling tower and pool.

Yes! The LeadTime discipleship training and ministry internship is tuition-free, but only a limited number of applicants are accepted annually. During your one-year commitment to LeadTime, room, board, training, books and materials are provided for FREE. Support may be raised for personal expenses through tax-deductible donation to Doulos ministries.
Although LeadTime is able to offer room, board, teaching, and books to you free of charge, each participant typically raises support to cover personal expenses. The amount typically raised is $500/ month or $6000 for the year but it may be more or less depending on spending habits and circumstances. If more than $6000 needs to be raised it must be approved by LeadTime directors. This covers costs such as travel home on breaks, car insurance, health insurance, and money for personal entertainment.
LeadTime provides training on how to raise support as well as materials needed. Upon acceptance and receipt of a signed contract, LeadTime sends the participant a Support Raising Manual outlining the Biblical basis for support raising along with a how-to guide. Further training is provided during Welcome Week festivities that occur in the first two weeks of each LeadTime year.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide health insurance to participants in our LeadTime program. We can provide a list of reasonably priced options upon request. Many participants who are currently on their parents' health insurance are able to stay on their insurance for the duration of their LeadTime year as participants are technically considered students due to the nine hours of coursework they receive each week. However, that must be worked out personally with your own individual insurance company. LeadTime is able to provide proof of student status if needed to insurance companies.
Student loans can typically be deferred for the year you are in LeadTime because you are still considered a student as you participate in nine hours of coursework. You must contact your loan agency to find out what they are able to offer. LeadTime is able to provide proof of student status if needed to loan agencies.
Great! Married couples have been a part of the LeadTime program for years. You are provided your own apartment near the facility with expenses covered. This is true whether one or both of you are LeadTime participants.
LeadTime values faith, friendship and FUN! Snowboarding, skiing, hiking, camping, rock climbing, weekend outings, spiritual retreats and even paint ball help your LeadTime class become a community and build memories."
